Maxtech's Internet Gateway Hub is a complete office network
solution, offering the home and small office features previously only available to larger Fortune 500-type installations,
such as: remote access (with security); Internet firewall; IP and modem sharing; along with user friendly WEB-based
management.
The 2 RS-232 WAN ports can be connected to modems, ISDN terminal adapters, or CSU/DSU's for lease-line connections
up to 112K/pport. Features include Modem Bonding, Dial-on-Demand, Auto-disconnect, Remote-Dial-In and Callback,
Access Filters, and more. The TUDG-8 offers both RJ-45 and BNC network connections. It comes with 8 Dual-Speed
autosensing 10/100Mb RJ-45 ports with an internal 10/100Mb switch for the ultimate in SOHO networking. Both models
support all WAN features and come with a lifetime warranty.
The modem bonding feature of the Gateway Hub allows you to use both modems to a single ISP account, doubling the
available bandwidth. Dial-on-Demand allows you to set the second modem to automatically dial-in when additional
bandwidth is required and drop the connection when usage is low, for savings on phone-line charges.
The Internet firewall can deny outside Internet users access to internal network resources, with ID/password protection
for dial-in users or, for a higher level of security, the "callback" function can be used to insure the
user is authorized.
Configuration of the unit is very simple using a terminal program, telnet from the network, or WEB-based management.
