MaxTech Introduces New High Performance Video Phone Kit

Cerritos, CA  (November 17, 1997)    MaxTech Corporation will be announcing the introduction of its first Video Phone Kit and is anticipated to start shipping in April.  MaxTech's new XCK-1000 Video Phone Kit is the first in a new series of products designed to capture market opportunities in the growing video conferencing marketplace.

"MaxTech engineers have been working for over two years on the design and production of a high performance, low cost video conferencing system"  said George Zhu, Director of Product Development.  "With our new model the XCK-1000 our reseller customers will enjoy the opportunity of added system sales when they present the entire line of MaxTech Information Technology products" Mr. Zhu continued.  The XCK-1000 is designed for maximum performance, but with a low SRP of only $179 (per seat cost), the MaxTech system will rapidly gain new customers.

Included in the new XCK-1000 Video Phone Kit is:

• Digital Color Camara
• PCI Video Capture Card
• H.324 Video Conferencing Software

Experience two-way full-color motion video and audio conversations using today's PCs and regular phone lines.  Unlike most video conferencing packages, the MaxTech Video phone kit makes high speed, high quality visual conferencing possible using ordinary personal computers and common analog telephone lines.

In Direct Mode

The MaxTech Video Phone allows you and a colleague to converse with two-way video and audio via a direct modem connection.  The XCK 1000 allows you to place a call to, or receive a call from any H.324 compatible system user and transmit two-way COLOR video and audio over modem connections at speeds of 14.4Kbps and up. 

In Internet Mode

The MaxTech Video Phone provides Internet, Intranet & LAN video telephony to connect with ease to a friend across town or across the world.  Because the quality of the phone or Internet connection will vary from minute to minute, the software is scaleable, it automatically adjusts video quality as the available bandwidth improves!
