Maxtech Introduces the New XWL-431 Wireless 802.11 PCMCIA NIC Card
Cerritos, CA (April 22, 1999) -- Maxtech Corporation is please to announce the launch of
the new Maxtech XWL-431 PC NIC Card, the latest addition to the broad line of Maxtech Netpacer wireless networking
products. The XWL-431 slides into the PCMCIA slot of any notebook PC, allowing unprecedented freedom to roam the
building while staying connected to a network.
Wireless networking is making a big impact in the efficiency and productivity in corporate, healthcare and educational
environments. Office workers can stroll from office to conference room, staying logged onto the network. Some colleges
have begun requiring students to use a wireless PC card with a notebook computer for a new level of interactive
learning in lecture classes. Some hospitals are even removing their notorious check-in counters. The in-patient

The 2.4 GHz, Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS), Type II Maxtech XWL-431 is a compact 5"x2.25"x.25",
with a tiny built-in antenna for a new level of mobility. The device complies with IEEE 802.11 standards for maximum
compatibility with other devices. It can reach 800 to 1000 feet in open spaces, and comes with a two year limited
warranty.
